The Sentinel Business Awards 2009
Browns Distribution Services Ltd have been shortlisted in two categories for The Sentinel Business Awards 2008.
The categories are:
Environmental Business Award, sponsored by Michelin
“Companies must have introduced environmental improvements which are enhancing the quality of life within North Staffordshire. Qualifying projects must have been completed, or have reached a meaningful stage, within the past 12 months.
Typical benefits are likely to be a reduction of harmful emissions, waste and or noise, improved usage of raw materials or transport efficiency, land reclamation, or action taken to reduce the impact of business activity on neighbours.”
Communications Technology in Business Award, sponsored by BT Local Business
“This award will go to the company that has introduced new technology to improve communications with external or internal customers and/or suppliers and, where appropriate, is utilising e-commerce in its trading activities. The judges will be interested in the benefits that the technology has brought.”
Browns are extremely pleased and hope to win! We will find out on Tuesday 31st March. The winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation Dinner to be held at The Stoke on Trent Moat House Hotel.

Job Portal Upgrade
Browns Distribution Services Ltd will be updating the customer portals over the next few months and to ensure we ‘deliver’ the best service possible we’d like to hear your suggestions.
The aim of the upgrade is to streamline customer interaction and enhance the quality of the data sent back to the HaulTech system whether it be a job booking, tracking enquiry or stock request.
With this in mind we'd like to know if you or indeed your customers have any suggestions for potential improvements we could make to the portals.
If you could send any suggestions to us by the 10th April it will give us time to process your requests and rest assured we will keep you updated as the project progresses.
