On Tuesday 31st March 2009 at the Best Western Hotel some of Staffordshire’s premier businesses gathered for the 2008 Sentinel Business Awards. 

Browns Distribution Services Ltd (Palletonline) were shortlisted for two prestigious awards, The Environmental Business Award and The Communications in Technology Award.

The winners were announced on the night. Browns fell short of the final position but did receive the acclaimed Finalist, Runners up Prize. 

Browns would like to thank all of the supporting companies that helped Browns develop a great product.

Corporate Uniform

As part of our corporate identity and expansion plan we will be introducing uniforms for all of our drivers. This will be introduced in April and will represent an innovative, modern and very much customer oriented organisation.   The uniform will consist of Dark Blue Combat Trouser, Dark Blue Polo Shirt and a Dark Blue Fleece. Our intention is to further enhance our corporate identity and professional approach.   The uniform will hold the company logo (As seen above) on the left chest and on the right arm .

Browns Distribution Site Visit

Browns Distribution Services Ltd are inviting customers to visit our site in Tunstall. This opportunity will give vital information to both our clients and our employees. It will give people the opportunity to meet our staff face-to-face and improve working relationships.

At the same time we would be able to give you a full site visit showing you how our operation works. This would start in our office outlining our systems and procedures moving into our goods-in-transit warehouse to view your product been handled, our long term and short term warehousing storage facility and finishing in our modern purpose built vehicle workshop facility.

Browns are also inviting their customers for an accompanied visit to Palletline PLC Central Hub operation located at the NEC Business Park in Birmingham. This will consist of an early evening Visit and you will be able to see our central Hub in full operation. Palletline’s newly built central Hub costing over £22 million moves over 12,000 pallets per night! You will be able to see this process from a vehicle arriving to leaving with all of the systems in between.

NVQ Training Update

Further NVQ Training is now been taken by our Local Delivery Drivers. With an immediate start and a completion date of 28th April our local drivers will undertake their Forklift Truck Test.

When completed they will obtain a full FLT License allowing them to drive two tonne gas powered forklift trucks. Browns are excited about the positive response from drivers as it shows commitment to the company. We hope this further training will enhance our customer service skills and be passed on to our clients.
