Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Browns Distribution Services Ltd would like to wish all their customers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

It is the time of year where the Christmas party is upon us! This year Browns have chosen The Quality Hotel in Hanley as the venue. We have over 100 people attending the party over the weekend and look forward to the night.

Entertainment on the night includes a live singer and a Disco.
All of the pictures will be posted on our website in the New Year. They can be seen at www.brownsgroup.co.uk.

Once again we would like to thank all customers of Browns for a brilliant 2008 and hope the best for 2009.

H&R Johnson Bonfire Extravaganza

As you may know H&R Johnson Tiles hold a yearly Bonfire Extravaganza aimed at Residents near and far. Browns Distribution Sponsor this event and provide the fireworks.
This is part of a great ongoing partnership between the two long standing companies.

This year it was held on 28th November on the Sports Fields in Ravensdale, Tunstall. Once again it was a great success!

The money raised on the night was given to a local charity “The  Dona Louise Trust” where funds are urgently required towards the opening of an additional and much needed care room for terminally ill Children.

Other local Charities benefited from funds already collected this year include  the little girl “Ellie Mae” who lost one arm and both of her legs through meningitis and a donation to Bucknall Hospital were also agreed earlier this year.
I’m sure you will agree, all are worthy causes.

On the Night through Ticket sales and entertainment we managed to raise £8000. This is a great help to our local charities.
Next year we will hope to do the same!
We will let you know as the time approaches when the next Bonfire will be.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped.

QC and Palletline site security

WAY OUT IN FRONT!
£20M INVESTMENT IN
QUALITY AT PALLETLINE

In a move placing the organisation at the leading edge in pallet distribution sector in terms of innovation quality and operational efficiency Palletline has successfully moved their operation to the New 15 acre site to The NEC.

The unique operational systems for the new hub have been designed to enable palletline to function more efficiently than any other pallet distribution network in the country, the systems and capacity are able to process in excess of 25,000 pallets in each 24 hour time window.

Naturally with any new move come new procedures and processes. At Starley Way, we pride ourselves on a superb QC station with up to date CCTV monitors scanning every part of your inbound and outbound presented loads.
The CCTV has already been used to resolve Member Company issues. Security has successfully proven relevant cases that would have been difficult to help with prior to the move.

Our customer freight is now catalogued using Hi Definition cameras to reduce any risk of damages entering the Hub. This has already proven valuable on more than one occasion.
